Family Day Camp
Why should kids have all the fun? We invite you to participate as a family with this unique alternative to our traditional summer programming. Each day will offer a variety of outdoor activities, arts and crafts, a catered lunch for your entire family and much more. Each of the days will start at 10 am with check-in starting at 9:30 am. You will receive confirmation by e-mail that a space has been reserved for your family as well as details on the location, driving directions, etc. once your application has been received. Applications will be accepted on a first received first served basis and space will be limited to comply with the State of Michigan’s Safe Start Plan related to COVID-19 and the facility location requirements.

Lansing: Saturday, August 1st at Potter Park Zoo
Grand Rapids: Saturday, August 8th at John Ball Zoo

Update on July 29: The Detroit (Aug 2) and Ann Arbor (Aug 9) Family Day Camp days have been canceled. Please come to our Lansing or Grand Rapids days! Be sure to send in your registration form.

Remote Camp August 3-7. Special Days…Undercover!
If you can’t make it to a day camp (or even if you can!), we will help make Special Days happen at home or wherever you may be! Each day there will be unique, age appropriate online arts and crafts, songs, skits, cooking and other surprise activities to choose from as well as a nightly live check in with your Village using Zoom online conferencing service. A box of supplies will arrive at your door with everything each camper will need to bring camp home, including the code for our online “Headquarters.” When you sign up please let us know if you need help getting some basic arts and crafts supplies like glue, markers, scissors etc. Can’t wait to see you at Special Days…Undercover! We hope your family will come and join the fun!

A Message regarding COVID-19

Considering the recent concerns and measures taken across the United States to combat COVID-19, we are closely watching the recommendations from local, state and federal authorities so that we can make informed decisions related to our 2020 summer camp program.

We continue to seek advice and direction from our trusted medical team and partners and have been actively involved in discussions with the Children’s Oncology Camping Association-International (COCA-I). Additionally, we are monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and  the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

It is, and will remain, our goal to ensure the safest environment possible for our campers, families and volunteers. We are committed to maintaining best practices to reduce risk of all communicable illness, included COVID-19.

As always, the health, safety and well-being of all of our Special Days Camps Family is our paramount concern. We will continue to monitor this quickly evolving situation and keep you updated as any decisions related to our 2020 summer camp programs are made.
